29 August 2008 – UPDATE Email Issue Affecting Some Customers on control3.tppinternet.net.au

Our system administrators have advised that the email password issue customers hosted on control3.tppinternet.net.au were experiencing this morning has been resolved, however emails sent to any email accounts hosted on control3.tppinternet.net.au are being returned to the sender. We have determined that the issue is a result of a server upgrade performed last night.

Our system administrators are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible; further updates will be posted on our status page http://status.tppinternet.com.au.

Any customers still experiencing a pop up message in their email client (such as Outlook) advising them to enter in their email password, should enter their correct email address password. If customers are unsure of their correct email password, they should log in to the TPP Internet Online Management System (OMS) using their client username and password to reset their password.

Once logged into the OMS click on ‘My Domains’, search for the domain name, and click ‘Edit Hosting Info’ from the editing drop down menu next to the domain name. Once logged into the hosting control panel, click ‘Home’ then ‘Mail’. Choose the email address you wish to reset the password for then manage the email account.
