The email issue that customers hosted on control3.tppinternet.net.au were experiencing this morning was resolved this afternoon at approximately 12.45pm this afternoon.

Mail is now being delivered to all accounts hosted on control3.tppinternet.net.au. If you experience any further difficulties, please contact Technical Support on 1300 665 491.

29 August 2008 - UPDATE Email Issue Affecting Some Customers on control3.tppinternet.net.au

Our system administrators have advised that the email password issue customers hosted on control3.tppinternet.net.au were experiencing this morning has been resolved, however emails sent to any email accounts hosted on control3.tppinternet.net.au are being returned to the sender. We have determined that the issue is a result of a server upgrade performed last night.

Our system administrators are working to resolve the issue as quickly as possible; further updates will be posted on our status page http://status.tppinternet.com.au.

Any customers still experiencing a pop up message in their email client (such as Outlook) advising them to enter in their email password, should enter their correct email address password. If customers are unsure of their correct email password, they should log in to the TPP Internet Online Management System (OMS) using their client username and password to reset their password.

Once logged into the OMS click on ‘My Domains’, search for the domain name, and click ‘Edit Hosting Info’ from the editing drop down menu next to the domain name. Once logged into the hosting control panel, click ‘Home’ then ‘Mail’. Choose the email address you wish to reset the password for then manage the email account.

We have been made aware of an issue this morning affecting some customers hosted
on control3.tppinternet.net.au. Users are currently unable to access their webmail page (eg. webmail.domainname.com.au) and they also are unable to POP mail via their email client (such as Outlook).
Our system administrators are working on the issue currently, and we hope to have this resolved shortly. Once the issue has been resolved we will post a notification on our status page.

The upgrade scheduled for 11pm 20 August to 1am 21 August on control2.tppinternet.net.au was completed successfully. The actual outage time experienced was approximately 5 minutes during this window.

22 August 2008 - UPDATE - Planned Interruption to ABN/ACN Policy Checking for .au Domain Registrations

We have been notified by the Australian Business Register (http://www.abr.business.gov.au) that the outage to theirΒ  ABN/ACN Look Up Tool used for the policy checking of .au domain name registration applications previously advised to take place between 2pm Saturday 23 August and 10am Sunday 24 August 2008 (AEST), will now take place between 7pm Friday 22 August and 10am Saturday 23 August 2008 (AEST).

As we are unable to validate the registrant entity ABN/ACN details provided on .au domain registration applications, no registrations for .au domain names will be submitted to the registry during this period. Automated policy checking will resume at 9am on Monday 25 August 2008.

We will be conducting upgrades to prepare for the introduction of PHP5 across our hosting platform. This upgrade will take place on control.tppinternet.net.au, between 11pm Tuesday 26 August to 2am Wednesday 27 August 2008 (AEST).

For approximately 90 minutes during the outage window all hosting services will be unavailable. Any emails sent to email addresses hosted on control.tppinternet.net.au during the outage will be spooled to our secondary mail server and delivered at the completion of the outage.
