.au Policy Changes: .au domain names can now be sold!

.auDA, the .au policy regulator, has recently announced changes to the .au legal ownership transfer policy. As of 1 June 2008, registrants will be able to offer their .au domain name licence for transfer to any other eligible entity for any reason. This means that registrants will now be able to sell their .au domain name licence. To prevent registrants from registering domains purely for resale, .auDA has stipulated that a licence transfer is prohibited within the first six months of registration. Should you have any questions, please contact us on 1300 665 491 or send an email to partners@tppinternet.com.
