Last year we began planning some changes to improve the reliability and stability of our network. To complete the changes we now have to physically move the remainder of our infrastructure to our new data centre facility.
The final outage required to complete the move is scheduled for 7pm Friday 7 March to 7am Saturday 8 March 2008.
For the duration of the outage, the following services will be unavailable/taken offline:
- TPP Internet websites (http://tppinternet.com & http://resellers.tppinternet.com)
- Online Management System & Order Flow (https://ssl.twoplums.com.au/tppretail/forms/online-management-login.php)
- Hot Goanna website (http://hotgoanna.com.au)
- Online Marketing Service Manager (https://services.hotgoanna.com.au)
- API Automation
- Customer Domain Name Shop websites
- Primary Name Server (brigh.twoplums.com.au)
- Product Provisioning (including new orders, renewals and transfers of Domain Names, Hosting, Online Marketing, SSL Certificates & Website Builder)
Please note that our Secondary Name Server (mutley.twoplums.com.au) will continue to resolve DNS throughout the outage; email and website hosting will not be affected.
At the completion of the outage, the above services will be restored.
Please contact us on 1300 665 491 if you have any questions about this outage.
This status page will be available for the duration of the outage, so please check here regularly for updates.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all customers for their continued support and business.

As per our previous post, we have now implemented the update to the settings of one of our hardware devices this afternoon as per our suppliers advice, and this appears to have rectified the intermittent connectivity issues experienced by some clients hosted on control2.tppinternet.net.au and control3.tppinternet.net.au.
We will continue to monitor this throughout the evening and tomorrow morning to ensure that the issue does not reappear, however we are confident this update has worked.
We sincerely apologise to all customers affected by this issue.

As per our previous post, we tried to implement the update to the settings of one of our hardware devices this afternoon as per our suppliers advice, however this failed to rectify the intermittent connectivity issues experienced by some clients hosted on control2.tppinternet.net.au and control3.tppinternet.net.au.
We are now working on a further update in consultation with our supplier, which we are hopeful will resolve the issue.
This update will require a reboot of the hardware device, which will take place at approximately 6pm today. The reboot will result in an outage of approximately 20-25 minutes to hosting services on control2.tppinternet.net.au and control3.tppinternet.net.au.
We sincerely apologise to all customers affected by this outage, and hope to restore full service shortly.

We were alerted to an increase in load on the server control.tppinternet.net.au at approximately 2.50pm this afternoon, and shortly after this alert lost connectivity to the server. After investigation it appeared that the server was offline.
We contacted our data centre server provider and they rebooted the server, which restored connectivity at approximately 3.20pm. This outage affected all customers hosted on control.tppinternet.net.au.
We are still investigating the reason behind the outage.
We apologise to all customers affected.

We have now isolated the issue causing intermittent connections to customer sites hosted on control2.tppinternet.net.au and control3.tppinternet.net.au.
We are working with our hardware supplier to update the settings of one of our hardware devices to fix the issue. The update will require a reboot of the hardware device, which will take place at approximately 3.45pm today. The reboot will result in an outage of approximately 5 minutes to hosting services on control2.tppinternet.net.au and control3.tppinternet.net.au.
We sincerely apologise to all customers affected by this outage, and hope to restore full service shortly.

We have had a small number of customers reporting intermittent access to their websites hosted on control2.tppinternet.net.au and control3.tppinternet.net.au since the hosting upgrade was completed last Friday evening/Saturday morning.
We are working with these customers to conduct testing to determine the problem and resolve ASAP. At this stage we have no time frame for resolution.
In addition to this, a number of customers have reported that they have been able to connect to the server via FTP, however they are unable to view the file directory. This issue has now been resolved.
We apologise for the inconvenience and will keep all affected customers updated, as soon as we have further information.

TPP Internet no longer supports Active Server Pages (ASP) or Microsoft FrontPage, as neither are compatible with our hosting platform. Microsoft stopped supporting Microsoft FrontPage in December 2006 (see Microsoft site for more details). Since this time, we have had numerous customers experience problems with FrontPage, and have made the decision to discontinue support for FrontPage across our hosting platform. Following extensive consultation with Plesk and a number of operating system upgrades undertaken by our System Administration team, we have removed ASP support across our hosting platform.
