We are in the process of upgrading our network and server infrastructure, and in preparation for these improvements we need the assistance of all existing Domain Name Shop customers with externally managed DNS to make changes to the way in which their Domain Name Shops are currently configured. Customers will receive a specific email shortly explaining these changes.
Customers will need to remove the existing ‘A” record for their Domain Name Shop hostname (pointing to 202.125.172.103) and replace this record with a CNAME to my.domainnameshop.com.au. It is recommended that customers work with their DNS hosting provider to drop the TTL (Time To Live) of their Zone File prior to making this change to avoid downtime to their Domain Name Shop site.
Customers who have DNS hosting with TPP Internet do not need to make this change; we will coordinate this for them.
It is requested that customers coordinate this change with their DNS hosting provider prior to Friday 15 February 2008.
