How Does TPP Internet’s Filtering System Work?

When an email is sent to your customer’s email address, it is run against Trend Micro’s Realtime Blacklist, the most comprehensive and reliable database of more than 1.6 billion IP addresses with reputation ratings based on spamming activity. Should the senders IP address match with black listed IP, the mail is bounced back to the sender before it even hits TPP Internet’s server.

If the senders IP address passes the Realtime Blacklist database, the message is then sent on to TPP Internet’s mail server where it is filtered by Spam Assassin. Should the email be deemed as Spam by the filtration system, the headers and subject line of the email will be changed to “****SPAM****” before it is delivered to your customer’s inbox. The customer can then choose to have their mail delivered directly to thier junkmail folder or they can have it deleted from thier inbox.
